As the title says, the team at MROC wish everyone a Happy New Year. And we start the year with a statement from our Joint Chairman, Dean Howdle.
2026 is looking an exciting year for MROC. Only 6 months from the discussions of creating a group with Karl, John and Colin, i’m writing this update as a Joint Chairman with Karl. The team I have around me is amazing and i’m really looking forward to the future.
Since May 2025, the group has been busy throughout the year. EEH 902Y has been busy supporting the Transport Museum Wythall at Statfold Country Park, assisting with free bus rides to Tamworth with a number of other museum vehicles. B190 BLG has been busy supporting the Midland Red celebrations at Coalville, including the book launch in December, written by Karl. Books are available from https://ltht.org.uk/shop/

4528 also attending Hooton Hangers Running Day in August, where she got to meet up with a friend her other Midland Fox and Confidence Coaches, B187 BLG.

In addition to the founding Olympians, we are excited to welcome RIB 8289 to our group in December 2025. Owned by John Haden, the coach is already loved by the team and we look forward attending events through the year (Not forgetting with the Olympians as well)

The year has already gone well with EEH 902Y visiting the Wrexham and Chester Charity Running Day on New Years Day. 1902 had an early start on it’s travels from Tamworth to Wrexham, joining our friends on route from The Black Country Preservation Group with F70 XOF, which I was happy to have assisted in the extraction from Cosford in January 2025.

Our First AGM will be held during January 2026, which our agenda will involve finalising the groups formation, and discuss the advantages of joining NARTM, which would be a huge asset in maintaining groups progress.
We look forward to keeping you updated with progress on our website and Facebook. Look out for us and say hi at any events.
