Our Purpose and Vision

Midland Red Olympian Club was formed in May 2025 with the aim on maintaining and preserving the history of 2 ex-Midland Red Leyland Olympians

The aim for the group is to attend events and promote the history of Midland Red Olympians.

The future plans include getting the group vehicles together within the same storage site.

Dean Howdle

Joint Chair

Dean has been in bus preservation for a number of years, been involved with despatching buses at events and been involved with organising many large events.

Dean is owner of EEH 902Y

Karl Brailsford

Joint Chair

Karl has been into buses since childhood, so it was a true dream to have purchased a bus and really active within the bus scene.

Karl is owner of B190 BLG

John

Committee

John is an ex-Midland Red Driver and volunteer at Transport Museum Wythall.

John also owns RIB 8289.

Julie

Treasurer

Julie keeps Karl under control, and will be assisting in keeping the rest of the group in order,

Colin & Angie

Committee

Colin is an ex-Midland Red Driver and member of the LTHT.

Angie keeps Julie company while the rest of the committee are talking buses, while enjoying time with Colin.
